What is LoRa?
LoRa, Long Range (& Low Power) will connect your Thing to the Internet. This radio-technique is specifically designed for the use by many devices, low power consumption and low costs. This enables the creation of cool application based on many cheap devices (a.k.a. The Internet of Things). And it’s here: KPN is building a nationwide coverage with LoRa.
Plug and play, scalable, full duplex, very long range, low power, robust is what IoT is requesting and what LoRa™ is offering. Don’t miss this opportunity! Book your spot ONLINE for the presentation and see how the LoRa™ RF Solution can make your IoT Low Power Wide Area Network become a reality.
The focus of this workshop is on teaching you the basics of LoRaWAN on the KPN network using Sodaq. In order to do this you will learn how to setup and use the SODAQ platform. How to get data from the device to a third party server using LoRa, and how to get data back to the device.
During the workshop you will receive:
- SODAQ Autonomo board
- SODAQ LoRabee module
- Grove TH sensor
- Grove Cable
- Grove shield
- USB Cable
- Solar panel
- Expert guidance from SODAQ and KPN
- Live KPN LoRa Network with test-credentials
We will kick off with some theory about LoRa and the provided hardware. Have a pizza break around six o’clock and continue with hands-on setting up of the SODAQ boards and sending data back and forth.
This is including all the material as mentioned above, food and drinks during the sessions and expert guidance from the guys from SODAQ and KPN.
Anyone interested in LoRa and network connectivity, including CEOs, CTOs, developers, engineers, consultants, design companies, research centers, integrators, etc.
About the Internet of Things Academy
The Internet of Things Academy is a non-profit foundation to enhance innovation by stimulating Internet of Things. We stimulate demand for IoT by letting organizations discover IoT. We stimulate supply of IoT by enabling developers to make new IoT applications. And we match demand & supply to stimulate the use of IoT.
It’s all about innovation. Discover > Make > Use
